Huge quantities of water are needed for the manifold purification processes. The water is taken from the river flowing along the company. After extensive filtration processes the water is entered into the production processes or used for steam generation.

Modern sewage works technology guarantees that the used water is purified at best via a chemical/physical end process. Parallel to the possibilities of sewage water cleaning strategies to avoid its occurrence are increasingly applied. By balancing sewage water contents resulting from the finishing processes it is possible to take measures before critical substances find their application. Water tests regularly check the influence of sewage water on the water quality. Extensive examinations taking into account the fish population confirm that the introduction of purified sewage has no measurable influence on the habitat river.

Drying and fixing processes are part of the essential production steps in textile finishing. The environment can be burdened by exhaust air when parallel to the drying process material-changing finishing auxiliaries are used. Exhaust air from drying aggregates consists of water steam and minor quantities of other contents.Every process is seen individually and the exhaust air contents are balanced to keep the portion of other contents within the prescribed limits fixed by legal provisions. By these calculations precise statements are possible which are taken into account in the development process already prior to production in order to minimise the exhaust air charge.

This way of production-integrated preventive environmental protection is always efficient and reduces the burden on environment.

Thus possible cleaning processes of environmentally relevant residues are unnecessary. You cannot avoid waste in industrial production, but minimise it through consequent use of our 3-fold strategy

For years we have made waste balances to get a survey on extent and kind of waste. With competent recycling enterprises we are looking for ways to reuse waste. Fabric residues and film waste are recycled and reused. Sewage sludge that does not contain any harmful substances by permanent analysis and that could be used without problems for manuring soils acc. to the Regulation on Sewage Sludge are used to recultivate garbage pits. Other residues that are not reusable are energetically exploited.
Through presentation of this waste balance the interested public can inform itself on quantities and means of disposal.

We continuously work on the improvement of our environmental balance, planned is the introduction of an environmental management system acc. to DIN EN ISO 14001.
